Dr. Jaya Prakash has been honored with the Prof. Satish Dhawan Young Engineer Award for engineers who have made outstanding contributions in the Engineering fields including Earth Sciences. This is a state award given by Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science Technology, Government of Karnataka for the Year 2023.
He is working on imaging, spectroscopy and theranostics aspects, all of which related to light-based technology. He had developed a cooled infrared optoacoustic spectroscopy (CIROAS) scheme which allowed for accurate sensing of glucose, lipids, and proteins while using short wavelength infrared light.
Further Dr. Prakash has received the ISOI young engineer award, IOP Outstanding reviewer award UK, Har Gobind Khorana Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award; Infosys young Investigator Award, to name a few.
