Atanu Mohanty
Research Interests
Atanu’s main area of research is the analysis and design of novel ion traps for mass spectrometry. His group develops numerical and analytical tools for the study of ion traps. His group also works on the development of electronic circuits and ion detectors for use in portable mass spectrometers.
Biographical Sketch
Atanu K. Mohanty is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (B.Tech. 1989, M.Tech. 1991) and Polytechnic University (Ph.D. 1997). After working in the computer networking industry for a number of years, he joined Indian Institute of Science in 2003. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2013.
