The Department of Instrumentation and Applied Physics at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore invites applications for the faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level. The department has a unique environment where innovative, interdisciplinary, and fundamental research is being conducted in a scholastic atmosphere. We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated exceptional promise in a field related to Instrumentation and Applied Physics. Faculty duties include teaching at the undergraduate, graduate and masters levels and research and supervision of research scholars. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree in Science or Engineering with 2-3 years of postdoctoral experience. Exceptional candidates may be considered for positions at associate or full professor level.

Our current search is focused on, but not limited to, the following fields: internet of things, energy systems, soft robotics, sensors, electronics, photonics, signal processing, semiconductors, control systems, material science etc.
