Research Interest
The main focus of Asha’s group is on fabrication of high quality quantum dots. At present her group is working on
- Colloidal carbon quantum dots
- Transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) Quantum dots and
- Optimization of Quantum dots precipitation in a glass host.
Biographical Sketch
- Joined the Department of Instrumentation and Applied Physics, IISc as an Assistant Professor in May 2017
- Assistant Professor at Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea for four years
- Postdoctoral researcher at RUB, Germany for a year,
- Postdoctoral researcher at XLIM-CNRS, France for two years
- PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT Delhi) specializing in thin film fabrication and characterization in 2009
