M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. (Engg.) degree holders*
Considered only for Ph.D. programme. It is not mandatory to clear any entrance examinations like NET (CSIR-UGC), GATE, IISc test, etc. You may be asked to attend an interview for final selection.
However, selection of shortlisted candidates for interview is purely decided by selection committee.
M.Sc. (non-Engg.) degree holders*
Any one of the national tests, such as Joint CSIR-UGC-NET for JRF (candidates who cleared NET for lectureship (LS) only are NOT eligible to apply)/GATE (with valid score card in the validation period)/IISc Entrance Test. will be considered for admissions to Ph.D. programme or M.Sc. (Engg.) programme based on their performance in the interview by the interview board.
B.E./B.Tech. degree holders$
GATE (with valid score card in the validation period)/IISc Entrance Test. will be considered for admissions to Ph.D. programme or M.Sc. (Engg.) programme based on their performance in the interview by the interview board.
*in Physical Sciences, Materials Science, Instrumentation (or) Electronics.
